TV skewered by Wii remote

This is unbelieveable! I think the photo says it all. I’m waiting for some confirmation from the original poster of this image to verify that this actually happened during a revved-up game of bowling and will add to this later with more pics. In the meantime, let us know what you think in the comments!
Update: I’m confident that this is 4 real! We’ve had direct contact with Dave Hodges, who was there when it happened. He watched his friend Tyler do something to his 27″ CRT that RCA’s customer service department will probably never have seen before or since. He tells the story in full after the jump, and provides 3 more photos which will still leave you wondering “Is that really possible?” or make you fall off your chair laughing.
Wiimote makes poor substitute for rubber bone
December 4, 2006 on 1:19 pm | In Furry Damage | 42 Comments
Snickers the Beagle finds himself between an excited Wii ten pin bowler and her screen.
Mike from Illinois, USA writes:
“My wife wanted to try out the Wii and wanted to give Bowling a shot. The only thing that ended up getting a shot was the jaw of her Beagle. She upper cutted him right in the face! He was OK, but it just goes to show you how dangerous interactive games can be if you don’t have the proper room and keep humans AND hounds out of the way.”
We’re pleased to see Snickers is OK, and still smiling. Let’s try not to add to the Furry Damage category shall we? But we’ll notch one more up for Wii Sports Bowling.
The participating pooch stories continue after the jump.

Wii remote breaks glass
December 4, 2006 on 6:45 am | In Glass Damage | 39 CommentsWe’ve been speculating about good ol’ CRT TVs being indestructible - they’re made of glass, right?
Yes, but if the following reports are real, a Nintendo Wii can do damage to glass stuff too.

It’s not double glazed, but that’s a Wii-remote sized hole behind your telly mate!

Boddies in a Guiness glass - are you mixing your drinks? Just be thankful you weren’t a few centimeters to the right, or your Wiimote could have made a mess of that laptop.

The site that reported this glass damage speculates these are not beer glasses - beer and Gummie Bears really don’t go. So, for those who think you have to be on something to cause this kind of damage, here it looks like it was nothing stronger than Sunny Delight.
