Wii makes a big impression

Let that be a lesson to you son! Nintendo go to great lengths to tell you to keep your distance from their totally absorbing games but here we’re seeing the whole family get drawn in, with painful consequences.
Picture the scene. It’s Thanksgiving down at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and the family have got together to celebrate. Parents are doing their usual boring ‘chatting’ and to keep the kids amused they’ve found the perfect toy. The next generation Wii games console.
Enter the main charaters:
There’s Joey Connors - he’s the older brother, and the guy who got in touch with us.
There’s Jacob - he’s Joey’s younger brother, and at aged 8 he wasn’t going to be the first to get a turn.
Then there’s The cousin. We don’t know his name HER name is Abby (thanks for putting me straight there Joey), and she was clearly ‘in the zone’ during an intense game of Wii Baseball. Not realising that Jacob was moving slowly into the field of play, she took a massive swing at the ball and landed the remote right between Jacob’s eyes.
Hey Cousin Abby - I think a public apology is in order. We want to see a smile back on Jacob’s face. Feel free to make use of the comments.
Here at Wii Damage we’re always pleased to be bringing families back together. And kids, maybe let the youngest go first next time.
Update: For the record, Abby didn’t actually let go of the Wii remote - Jacob just wandered into the line of fire. So, no broken straps, no butterfingers, no reason to insult anyone in fact. Just smile at this next photo.

Looks like all’s forgiven and Jacob is back to his ol’ crazy self. “Only Wii can do this!”.
